Data centre scheme for an end user

In 2013 studioNWA were commissioned to develop a large data centre scheme for an end user. The overall design was for 2 buildings, achieving a total power load of 24MW within 10,800m² of IT space. The project was one of the first of its type to introduce the use of IAC low energy cooling system. Phase 01 of the project was completed in 2013, which delivered a building with a gross floor area of 11,000m², of which 5,400m² is IT space, along with the HV substation, all associated external plant, car parking and hard/soft landscaping, all completed within 26 months following the appointment of the design team.
